I’m in the market for a kimono!

Japanese cooking is my new thing and it’s thanks to Fiona Uyema !  Last week a friend and I were Fiona’s guests at her Easy Japanese Cooking Demo in the Miele Gallery

Suffice to say I was inspired and Himself was given a list and dispatched to Limerick’s Cheong Heng Hong Oriental Supermarket within 24 hours of attending the course.  Last night one of the dishes was served for dinner (check out the photo on @QueenofOrg).  Kids enjoyed it, Himself enjoyed it and SIL enjoyed it so thank you Fiona.

The demo was an interactive and fun experience with everyone getting to taste the final dishes.  I’d recommend it to anyone seeking to try something different in the kitchen.  Fiona hosts the demos regularly and the dates and more details are on her website

Joanne Geary will be doing a review about the evening on my radio programme Best Possible Taste which is aired every Tuesday 8pm-9pm on West Limerick 102FM.   Joanne will be on in the next couple of months when she has had time to try out the dishes at home (hopefully paired with wines suggested by Ron Forrestal!).

Must dash out and get a kimono so I look the part the next time we have visitors for dinner!

Great to hear you were inspired after my cooking demo. I look forward to see what other dishes you try at home. Thanks Fiona
