Hannah Rose (of Tralee) Noonan is 3 today but I secretly celebrate it twice a year, today and on Mothers’ Day because  April 3rd 2011 was also Mothers’ Day and I found myself looking into a gorgeous pair of blue eyes.

Hannah isn’t my first baby but she is my first born.  She has 4 siblings up in the sky and in our hearts who we have named Jane, Tessa, James and David.  She also has a little brother who is very much with us and he is called Mikey (Moo-ster).

I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason and there is a reason that Jane, Tessa, James and David are not here but Hannah and Mikey are.  I know I am VERY blessed to have my 2 rascals and it was fate that meant I was able to have them.  It was thanks to the media, a great friend (thank you Orla XXX) and a stranger who shared her story.  Genevieve Taylor, who I do not know and have never met, spoke publically about her story to Marian Finucane on RTE Radio.  Thanks to her I have 2 adorable (not all the time admittedly) kids.

After Hannah was born, I felt it was important to share my story in the hope that just one person would hear it and have a happy ending like mine.  I know one person who did.  Maybe you know someone that my story can help.  If you do, please share it and if they would like to talk to me, feel free to get in touch (s.noonan@live.ie)

You might be able to podcast my interview from 1 October 2011 with Marian Finucane on line or read the article in the Limerick Leader – few inaccuracies here but nothing to sue anyone over!  In the meantime, Hannah and I will be dancing to this to celebrate her 3rd birthday.  Well you need to burn the calories off somehow from all the jelly, ice cream and cake!
